Glossybox April 2013 Review

My April Glossybox FINALLY came, with only a few days to spare. It was worth the wait though, and I am excited to use all the products inside! Also, I love getting  a fair share of products and this month we got 6 items! I was so happy about that!

Glossybox is a beauty subscription service that sends you 4-7 deluxe sized samples by amazingly nice brands. It costs $21/month, and I’ve ALWAYS gotten at least double the price back by the products inside. Many of the brands I have never heard of before, or maybe a new product that I’ve always been scared to buy and try…. These kinds of things are the reasons why subscription boxes are so fun! You learn about so many amazing new brands!

The boxes always come with a short little hello about the months theme, and inside the card lists the products, descriptions, and values of everything included this month.

Now let’s get to the goodies inside!!! :]

Item #1 • Alterna Haircare
Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mix (Full size: $22.00, 4.2 oz)
This product is supposed to give a “just got back from the beach” look wavy hair. I am so excited to try this because I am always looking for a perfect spray that does just that! Thanks Glossybox, you always seem to send me what I need! :] Check out the product here.

Item #2 • Bvlgari
Eau Parfumèe au thè Blanc Tea Bag for Bath, price: $9.50/ 1 package
I don’t even usually take baths, however I might have to change this ASAP because it smells like the same amazingly delicious soap also from Bvlgari that Glossybox sent me a few months back. I love the smell so much!!! Will have to try this “bath tea” for sure! Check out the product here on Amazon.

Item #3 • The Honest Company
Honest Organic Lip Balm, price: $3.31
This is a great lip balm, flavored in “Sweet Orange Vanilla”. It smells delicious and works great! Check them out here.

Item #4 • TIGI Cosmetics
Glow Blush, Lovely, price: $22.00
This is a perfectly blendable blush that glows with the perfect amount of pinkness! Check out the product here.

Item #5 • Wash With Joe
Coffeemint Invigorating Body Wash, 1.0 oz (Full size: $28.00/ 16 oz.)
This smells fantasticcccc! What a great way to wake up in the morning in the shower! If I didn’t already have so many other soaps around the house from all my beauty subscriptions, I would have been more tempted to purchase this. Smells THAT good. I just don’t spend that much money on soap. Check them out here.

Item #6 • Le Mètier De Beautè
Replenishing Daily Solution, .10 oz (Full size: $225.00, 1.7 0z)
This is a CRAZY expensive cream! These are the kind of items I LOVE receiving boxes like Glossybox because this is a cream that I would NEVER have ever tried before… if it wasn’t for my Glossybox! I’ll get one use of some super fancy cream! They also gave Glossybox members a discount to knock $75 off the total price, making the full sized product “only” cost $150.00. The code is: GlossyBox. Check out the product here.

This box wasn’t my FAVORITE, but I definitely love everything in it and will be able to put it all to good use! LOVE MY GLOSSYBOX! Always, ALWAYS worth the price. The $22 full sized blush in this box paid for the box itself! :] If you like Glossybox, you should give it a try! Click here to sign up! That’s my referral link.

Conscious Box April 2013 Review

One of my favorite boxes!! :] Conscious Box is full of awesome products that are all natural and good for the earth! It’s $19.95/month and worth every penny (at least to me!) I love discovering all the cool new brands and products that I get to sample from these boxes. They usually send a large(er) supply of goodies every month compared to all the other boxes that I get. This month, 12 new products wooooo hoo!! :]

As usual, I didn’t get a list of the products inside emailed me to me, so that is one thing I don’t like. They do send you an inspirational little card and also a postcard, this one just covered in their 10% coupon.

I was not very happy with the packaging of this item. KLUTCHclub March 2013 Review

This month’s KLUTCHclub box was pretty great, and of course this happens the month that I cancel my subscription. It is one of the pricer boxes I get at $17/month, but the first two boxes I received (January and February) weren’t worth the money (to me I mean). They boast “$50 of the best healthy snacks, supplements, fitness programs, personal-care products, and more”, and although most of the products I received were pretty cool, some of the “programs” that are “worth” the most money were just pointless to me. It was like I was getting maybe the $17 back for the products, and then they send gift cards for random stuff I wouldn’t use for $20 or $30 some dollars. THIS MONTH HOWEVER, the 2 programs they give gift cards to are pretty cool and I love most all the other stuff too!

Let’s get to the box!!!

Nice big booklet of information about the products included

Nice big booklet of information about the products included

Item #1) Skinny Pop 100-Calorie Popcorn Snack
Retail value: $3.69, 4.4 oz

Item #2) 1 month giftcard
Retail value: $14.95 for the month
I thought this was kind of silly. I’ve seen commercials for the company, about how it helps you “train your brain”, and always thought “Who the heck would pay money for this?!” BUUUUUUT now that I have a free month of it, I checked out the website and it looks kinda cool! I won’t be renewing it and paying for it next month, but I think it’ll be fun. It says that after just 10 hours of working on stuff, you can see improvements in the areas that you needed the most help on (for me, that will be memory).

Item #3) Lacote USA Guam Beauty Mud Cellulite Treatment
Retail value: $69.00, 17.64 oz.

Item #4) Cocoa Via, Daily Cocoa Extract Supplement
Unsweetened Dark Chocolate, 1o packets
Retail value: $39.95 for 30 count box

Item #5) Aligned $30 Gift, 1 month worths
I had no idea what this was and it looked super weird… but then I checked out the website and it was completely fantastic! It looks pretty cool, it’s sopposed to help you get to know yourself better and stuff… It just seems pretty interesting :]

Item #6) Juice Beauty, Hydrating Mist
Retail value: $22.00, 6.75 oz.
I already got this in my ipsy Glambag this month, making me think that this product was being given away for free like crazy.

Item #7) Green & Black’s Organic Dark Chocolate
Dark 70%, 1.2 oz
Retail value: $35.84, pack of 10

Item #8) Corazonas Blueberry Oatmeal Squares
Retail value: $13.99 for 12 pack

Item #9) Crystal Body Deodorant Stick
Retail value: $2.99 for the travel size
This looks pretty awesome. It has no scent, you just splash a little water on and then use it to block odor. The only ingredients are natural mineral salts.

Item #10) Davidson’s Organic Tea
Tropical Green, Sun Moon & Stars, Red Green & White
Retail value: $2.95 for a box of 8

I think I got my money’s worth for this box, and I’m really happy about it! I know I cancelled my subscription, but that’s only because I’m currently unemployed and need to cut back on some stuff…. maybe in a couple months I’ll try them out again! These 3 months were pretty fun with them tho! :]

3) Smartypants Gummy Vitamins for Grownups
All-in-One Multivitamin + Omega 3s + Vitamin D, 6 gummies/1 day supply
List price: $27.95, 1 bottle, 1 month supply

 4) Pure Living Paradise Tea?
Vanilla Chaga TGRT Raw
I’m thoroughly confused about this product/brand. First off, the loose tea was all over my box because all it came in was this folded paper towel. It gives no real information except it says you can consume it or bathe in it….? I checked out their website, here, and it’s just as weird as the product itself. I’ll probably steep it to make tea and see what happens and what it tastes like, although I’m kind of scared. I’m probably just being dumb because I’m not a big tea drinker but this is really strange to me…..

9 and 10) Two Degrees Food Bar
with Quinoa, Chia, & Millet, 1.6 oz, Cherry Almond + Chocolate Banana

“For every bar you buy, we give a meal to a hungry child.”

11) Chef Sleeve Disposable iPhone Sleeves
10 protective sleeves
list price: $19.99 for a 25 pack

All in all, I LOVED this box! It’s always fun to receive items in different categories, such as food, drink, bath, kitchen, etc. The food bars look yummy, I always love gummie vitamins, an energy shot is sometimes needed, and I am so pumped to use the kitchen iPhone sleeves because reading my recipes on my phone gets so messy!!! Love it!!

KLUTCH club February 2013 Box Review

Feb '13 Klutch Club Box

Feb ’13 Klutch Club Box

Alright so I am just loving this right now, reviewing my second ever KLUTCH club box & watching the Blackhawks (hopefully) make history with their 16 point game streak! So exciting!!!!! I love me my Chicago Blackhawks!!!

Anyway, KLUTCH club is a subscription service that I just discovered recently in Glamour magazine. For just $16/month, they send you “$50 of the best healthy snacks, supplements, fitness programs, personal-care products & more”. You can choose between KLUTCHwomen and KLUTCHmen box, I obviously get the women’s one, and this is only my second one, but I do love it! Every month has a theme, last month for January was “Achieving & Maintaing Healthy Weight”. There were some great products in there & of course it was awesome to get my first box in the mail and see how they package and describe the items, etc.

This month’s theme is “Fight Winter Sickness and Boost Your Immune System with Products That Keep You Happy & Healthy”.
Their website gives the same description of the box that I got in the little card included inside. It reads:

“Problem: Sneezing on your lap-top, coughing into your soup and an immune system so weak it can’t fight cold and flu season on your behalf.

How we solved it: Your body was built to heal itself and not use up all your sick days in one season. So we’ve put together the best health and wellness products to help you stop the snot and fight the flu like a ninja.”

Now to the box!!!
IMG_0383 IMG_0384
I love that they keep you excited about opening the box!

What it looked like when I opened it:

Item #1: Nature’s Bakery – Whole Wheat Fig Bar
All natural stone ground whole wheat fig bar, good-for-you treat that’s vegan & dairy free.
I always liked Fig Newtons as a kid, so hopefully I’ll enjoy this, it is described as “delicious”. :]

Item #2: Honest Tea – Honey Green Tea
An organic honey green tea that’s brewed with fair trade tea leaves. Loaded with catechins & beneficial antioxidants to help fight free radicals in the body.
I don’t normally like tea too much, but I will be giving this a try and hoping to enjoy it! :]

Item #3: Allergease – All Natural Herbal Supplement
This herbal blend regulates histamine & supports your immune system during allergy season. 21 lozenges in the pack.
I think these will be good to take, as long as they don’t taste too bad, how awesome to suck on a little candy and be getting some essential vitamins to keep me healthy! Love it! It’s the items like these that get me the most excited… random products I never knew existed :]
IMG_0394 IMG_0395

Item #4: Immuno Gum
Chewing gum that’s loaded with immune system-boosting ingredients.
I think the idea of this product is awesome! The flavor is “Mixed Berry”, hopefully it’s tasty and I can chew gum & get healthy at the same time 😉

Item #5: Clean Well – To-Go Surface Disinfectant
Natural disinfectant wipes that kill germs botanically.
Pretty cool that they’re all natural and don’t have to worry about weird chemicals. In a “lemon citrus” scent. Hopefully smells nice and normal.

Item #6: Drink Chia! – Omega 3 Superfood Drink
Omega3 superfood drink infused with organic chia seeds. It’s loaded with super foods, antioxidants, and B-complex vitamins to keep your body strong during cold, flu, and fitness season. There is literally chia seeds IN THIS DRINK. Chia seeds… I don’t wanna grow a strange grassy bush like Chia Pets….. hahaha… I will give this a try but I highly doubt that I am able to drink the entire bottle… Drinking seeds just isn’t me. The flavor is Lemon and that’s also not one of my favorites, actually one of my worst, but I will give it a shot 🙂
IMG_0390 IMG_0391 IMG_0393

Item #7: Vita Perk – Vitamin Supplements
A blend of vitamins, minerals, and natural flavors that turns the average cup of joe into something brilliant.
Ok, so I think that these are completely AWESOME. And I love that I got all 4 flavors that they offer. I CANNOT wait to try this in my coffee in the morning 🙂
IMG_0397 IMG_0398

Items 8 and 9 are not actually items themselves, but gift cards/coupons.

First is this $15 gift card for Khataland Yoga Products.
I checked their website and most of the products are pretty expensive so $15 won’t get me much of anything. Probably won’t be using this, but nice to have in case I do start to get into yogas…. These days I seem to be trying tons of new things :]
IMG_0399 IMG_0400

Finally, this is a $25 gift card to “get me started” on a Probiotic Cleansing Diet.
I will be tossing this I have been looking into some other cleanses recently that seem better, this one doesn’t give much info online.

All in all, it was a great box & I’m excited to try out all the products!!! :]

Meow time to watch the Blackhawks… we’re currently tied 1-1, we better win this one!!!!

all love & smiles :]
