Wantable Intimates Box February 2014 Review

Wantable Intimates is a wonderful subscription box that sends out 4-5 premium essentials that are handpicked to perfectly match your preferences. Before you complete your purchase of the box, you fill out a survey that lets them know your loves, likes, and dislikes. Whatever you “dislike” they will make sure to NOT send you, and send you more of your “loves”, so because of this, these boxes are specially packed for everyone!

There is nothing too special about the packaging, a simple little box, and that includes a listing of your items inside. They review your order information and also include the retail value of all items included. This is a great feature because it’s always nice to know the value of the items in your subscriptions!
This month, the total value of my box was $88.00, which is fantastic considering it only cost me $36 bucks.

The first item in the box was a pair of Muk Luks Boot Height Socks
These retail for $15.00
For Christmas I got 2 pairs of Muk Lights tights and I have loved them, so soft!!! Really excited about these socks, will be great for all this crazy freezing weather!

Next, Q-T Intimates Heart Bra Clips (3 pack – clear, black, nude)
These retail for $9.00
These look cuter than the normal circle ones I picked up at the Dollar Tree years back, maybe I can remember to put these to more use this time… (also I cannot find these online, it looks like they were made exclusively for Wantable)

Next we have a set from Kiby’s, the Anastasia Cami & Bikini in green.
The top retails for $34 and the panties for $10.
I have been wearing the cami around the house after work and it is COMFYYYY. So happy about these items : )

IMG_4741 IMG_4742

Lastly, I found this Wantable Soft Bra in Taupe
This retails for $20.00
I would never (ever) buy this on my own, it’s a one size fits all, but hmmm guess what, one size certainly does NOT fit all, especially in the chest. The color is terrible and I’m not really loving it, however it is pretty soft so I will probably just be wearing it around the house with my pj’s.

Overall, I’m happy with this box as I got more Muk Luks and an amazingly soft and comfy cami!

POPSUGAR Must Have Box November 2013 Review

IMG_3789 The BoxPOPSUGAR Must Have Box. This is one of my favorite boxes that I subscribe to because of all the full-sized products and the range of categories the items fall into. It’s basically like opening a surprise gift to myself! “POPSUGAR’s monthly favorites delivered to your door. Hand selected items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food. Full sized products and premium items.”

IMG_3791 the goodsThe box is always bursting full with amazing full size products, and I honestly love their little fold out notecards on why they picked each product and how it can be put to good use. They do a great job of explaining the items in this packet. This is my absolute most favorite box that I look forward to and always am so excited and happy about the products that I receive!

My cats even go crazy over the Popsugar Must Have Boxes!!!! Whenever I try to take pictures or open my boxes this is what I have to deal with... Notice Dexter creepin in...

Whats inside
1 ~ Michael Stars Scarf
This scarf is so soft and amazing and comfy and cute!! I am so happy to get it in this box! I also wasn’t familiar with the brand of Michael Stars but I’m starting to love the designer! Great stuff on the website.

2 ~ Nice Boxed Glass Candle by Illume
This candle smells delicious and warm and vanillay. We LOVE candles around the house so this was a perfect gift in my box!
3~ Maison de Monaco Strawberry & Blackcurrant Cream Preserves
I love jams!! Yayyy!! This is certainly a different flavor for me to try that I’ve never had before! UPDATE: Just ate this with some vanilla ice cream….. SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!
4 ~ BareFruit Crunchy Sea Salt Caramel Apple Chips
These are soooo yummy…. I’ve been snacking on them throughout the day at work and for breckie… healthy and delicious!
5 ~ The Soap & Paper Factory Roland Pine Shea Butter Soap
This smells amazing. The pine scent is so wonderful and rich and perfect for this time of the year! Gets me excited to shower and smell up the bathroom with this wonderful Christmas tree forest scent!
6 ~ Lands End Canvas Wine Tote
This is much classier than me carrying my wine around in CVS bags. Excited to have something like this and be able to put it to good use!
7 ~ Absolute! Nail Polish Remover Pads in Peach
This product promises that one pad can remove polish from all 10 fingers… I have been slacking lately on nail art, but I will for sure put these to the test the next time I do and change my nail color! If it works, it may just be a life saver nail product!
8 ~ Canvas Pop Gift Card
All of their products are priced mostly a lot higher than $30, so you can’t really use this certificate unless you spend money too, making it not that great for me. I like the kind where you can pretty much spend nothing and get something from it, like a true gift card.
IMG_3800 product value Nail Polish Pads: $2.99
Canvas Wine Tote: $14.50
Soap: $8
Chips: $3.50
Preserves: $6
Candle: $15.75
Scarf: $42
{$122.74 if you include the gift card, which I’m not because you have to spend money to use it}
This box doesn’t have the highest value (usually they are well over $100) but I LOVED this box and every single item made me happier than the next!

Bestowed Box July 2013 Review

The Box

Bestowed is a monthly subscription box that sends healthy and delicious food, snacks, and treats, all hand-picked by celebrity nutritionist Heather Bauer. This was my first month trying out a Bestowed box, and I was oh so eager to see which delicious treats would be in my box this month!

Whats inside

“Get 5-7 new healthy and delicious foods delivered to your door every month, each handpicked by Heather Bauer, celebrity nutritionist.”

$19/month with free shipping! Or, you can subscribe for a year for $209 + get a month for free!

This was my very first box so I’m not sure if they normally do a theme or not, but I don’t think this month’s July box was themed. At first I thought the title could have been “Hello Yum”, but then I figured that maybe all the cards say things like that. haha.

the goods

1 • Health Warrior Chia Bar – Açai Berry
$23.50/ 15 pack
I haven’t tried this yet because I figured it would be a good snack for work, but it looks absolutely delicious! I’m excited to try the yummy flavor and I love that it’s only 100 calories and full of fiber and protein. Check out the bar here.

2 • 34 Degrees Crisps – Natural
$18.46/ 6 pack – 4.5 oz boxes
I have gotten these before in a subscription box and think I may have received a better flavor back then because these “Natural” flavored ones don’t really have any flavor at all. I tried just dipping them in my whipped cream cheese along side some pretzels, but it still wasn’t even too great. Not the best crackers/chips in the world, but you can eat 18 of them for just 100 calories so it would be a pretty good snack. Check them out here.

3 • Hooray Puree Butternut Squash Puree
$4.00, 2 packets in each box
This product was certainly very new to me and quite surprising. Even after reading through the back of it and seeing all the dishes you can add it too, I guess I’m still not sure what the point of it is or really what the benefits are of using it. They advertise it as “veggies made easy”. I’m very intrigued to try this one out. Check out their website here.

IMG_2614 IMG_2615

4 • Food Should Taste Good Multigrain Chips – Sweet Potato
These chips were preeeetty delicious. I always love a cool new crunchy snack, so naturally I was excited to try this. It was perfect packed in my lunch! Check out the chips here.

5 • Emmy’s Organics Vanilla Coconut Macaroons
Eh. These were way, way too coconutty for me. The texture looked so soft and delectable and just moist and amazing… unfortunately, I just really didn’t like the flavor. I’m sure coconut lovers will appreciate this cookie! Check out the macaroons here.

6 & 7 • 1 year subscription to Organic Gardening & Barre3 Online 15-Day Pass
I wasn’t really too excited about either of these things because they are not anything I would personally use. If anyone else would want them, they’re all yours!

winnersHonestly…. the only thing that I really liked were the Food Should Taste Good chips…..Oh and their excellent info guide about the products inside, I always appreciate a nice box guide and they did a great job with this!

losersHmmmm well, honestly for me, pretty much the whole box…. I might try out one more month to see how the next one goes…

This wasn’t my favorite box, but only because I just so happen to not eat most of the things in this box normally. I might try it for one more month and see if August works out a little better for me.

all love & smiles,

POPSUGAR Must Have July 2013 Review

The Box

POPSUGAR Must Have Box. This is one of my favorite boxes that I subscribe to because of all the full-sized products and the range of categories the items fall into. It’s basically like opening a surprise gift to myself!

Whats inside“POPSUGAR’s monthly favorites delivered to your door. Hand selected items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food. Full sized products and premium items.”

$35/month with free shipping! They offer month by month plans, 3-month, 6-month, and year long options (where you can save up to the price of one whole box!) The total value of these boxes is basically always over $100 so you definitely get your money’s worth!

themeI usually love a good theme for the month, but since the Must Have box is full of random items, they don’t  really fit perfectly together, however they do give a short and simple explanation of the month’s box in the amazing booklet they give which gives detailed info about each product. For this month of July, they talk about the “dog days of Summer”, with items that would be perfect to use at the this mid-summer season!

the goods

1 • Baublebar Rose Double Curb Chain
When I read that we’d be getting a statement piece that would “complement every outfit”, I never expected this. Rose gold looks so much nicer on delicate pieces, not huge chunky necklaces. It just looks sooooooo cheap to me, although I have been looking around online and found a bunch of cute pictures of nice outfits that women have styled the necklace with, so at least I know it’s doable! Check out the necklace here.

IMG_2572 IMG_2574 IMG_2575

2 • Supergoop! SPF 30 Anti-Aging City Sunscreen Serum
Ummmmmm 42 bucks for a sunscreen? That’s still only 30 SPF? Not something that I would ever normally purchase. I realize that this is a nice item but I certainly don’t take care of my skin the way I should so this big-ticket product in the box isn’t really too great for me… It promises to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and many other things so maybe I’ll give it a try just to see if it lives up to it’s promise. Check out the serum here.

IMG_2570 IMG_2571

3 • Mighty Leaf Iced Tea – Calypso Mango
I’m not a huge iced tea drinker but I have been warming up to some delicious flavored ones and this one sounds good so I’m excited to try this out! I love pulling a fresh pitcher out of the fridge when it’s nice and freezing cold on a super hot day. Perfection. Check out the tea here.

IMG_2561 IMG_2563

4 • Tovolo King Cube Ice Tray
Me and the bf both think this is an awesome item! It’s perfect for summer drinking, no more watered down cocktails!! Check out the tray here.

5 • NCLA 5 Free Lacquer – #029 As If!
I always love getting nail polish! I love pretty much every color because you can always work it into a cool design or pattern… helps me stay creative! I don’t have any other polishes by this brand, so I was certainly excited to try it out (especially with such a high price tag!). The color is pretty and it’s very easy to apply, with a nice brush and smooth application. Check out the nail polish here.

IMG_2565 IMG_2566

6 • Hannahmax All Natural Crunchy Cookie Chips – Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip
$23.96 – 4 pack/ 6 oz. bags
Oh. My. God. These cookie chips were to die for! Soooooo delicious and crispy and sweet and chocolately and all around amazing. I was nervous because a) I love ooey gooey cookies, not crispy ones, and b) I don’t like dark chocolate…. but these cookies proved me wrong and showed me a completely new taste sensation that I can’t wait to get more of! Check out the cookies here.

The only thing I LOVED and would actually want to buy are the cookies. I enjoy the polish and ice tray too!

The most expensive product was the sunscreen……. not too fun. This definitely was NOT my favorite Popsugar box.

product value

Necklace:               $28.00
Sunscreen:            $42.00
Tea:                         $6.25
Ice Cube Tray:      $7.99
Nail Polish:         $16.00
Cookie Chips:      $1.99
TOTAL:              $102.23

For a box that promises over $100 of goodies, this one was cutting it pretty close. I like the products, but hopefully next month’s August box will be much better! We already got an email giving us a sneak peek at one of the products, a pretty gold simple necklace. I am excited to see what else they have planned! :]

Conscious Box May 2013 Review

This month’s Conscious Box was pretty heavy, so I was oh-so-excited to see what was in store for me this month! I was NOT disappointed. There are a couple of amazing products in the box that I am super pumped to try! I was a little confused about a few of the other items in the box, not to mention the fact that since there is never a packing list included, it’s hard to really understand how/why some of the products were included.

Conscious Box is a monthly subscription box service that costs $19.95/month and is full of pure and sustainable products. This was one of the first subscriptions I joined and it is STILL one of my all-time favs. I LOVE that the box is full of products from every category  so it’s always so exciting to open the box and learn about  so many amazing new products and brands.  They also over vegan and gluten-free options, which I know is a great choice for many people nowadays.

The boxes typically include around 10 or more items, a postcard, and a letter about this month’s theme/season. They don’t include a packing list, and at one point they emailed out the list, but I haven’t gotten one of those in months. This month, however, I got an email that was titled “May 2013 Packing List”. I was happy to finally get one, but as soon as I looked over the list of items, they were certainly not anything that was included in this month’s box. Some were things I had never seen before and many were items that I received in my past boxes…. So I’m still kind of confused about that was…

Let’s get to this goodies inside the May box!!

1 • Earthpaste Amazing Natural Toothpaste, (2) 3 g
{Full size: $7.99}
I got 2 different samples of this natural toothpaste, one for kids (of all ages) in a Lemon Twist flavor, and a regular Peppermint flavored one. There is no artificial coloring or foaming agents in this paste, so the I imagine using it would be a completely different experience than using a “regular” toothpaste. I am a little nervous to try this because I think I LIKE the fact that my toothpaste is white and then it is all foamy in my mouth when I brush. It feels and LOOKS clean that way. However, I understand how using this toothpaste could be better, so I am going to give it a try soon. Check out the product and company here.

2 • Dream Water Sleep & Relaxation Shot
{2 – 2.5 oz shots, $7.50}
I got the Snoozeberry flavor and I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED!!!!! First off, I had heard about this product a while back and read great things about it. I wanted to try it out but just knew I wasn’t going to pay that much money for a drink that might not even really help me sleep. These are the reasons I LOVE subscription boxes!!! Also, this week I haven’t been sleeping well at all, so it was almost too ironic that I got this in my box this month. I haven’t tried it yet, but I am super pumped to! Check out the product here.

3 • Organ Healthy Kids Organic Nutritional Shake
{$2.69 for 1 – 8.25 oz. drink}
I always seem to love items marketed for kids, and this is no different. I’m sure I’ll love this healthy organic drink! Plus it’s super cute! Check out the product here.

4 • Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Natural Sunscreen SPF 30
{Full size: 3 oz/ $11.99}
This is a tiny, tiny sample of sunscreen (o.o4 oz), probably just enough to cover my face and maybe neck. Nothing to get too excited about, but it certainly won’t go to waste! Check out the product here.

5 • Ultima Replenisher Balanced Electrolyte Powder
{Full price: $16.00/ 30 servings}
This product has no added sugars or artificial ingredients, and I got the Lemonade flavor, which is awesome because I love lemonade so I know I’ll actually try this drink mix! It’s full of electrolytes and good for you! I love mixing flavors into my water for the day, so I’m happy to try this! Check out the product here.

6 • MRM Relax-All with Phenibut Dietary Supplement
{60 capsules/ $20.00}
These 2 vegetarian capsules are supposed to support relaxation and calmness to muscles, aiding in a better night’s sleep. I of course am super pumped about trying out this product. The last time I tried a natural dietary supplement pill/vitamin, it really seemed to work for me, calming me down and making me much less anxious. Hopefully these will work too! Check out the product here.

7 • Bija Lemon Ginger Echinacea Caffeine Free Organic Tea
{20 tea bags/ $6.00}
Eh. This is probably the item I was least excited about it in this month’s box. I get SO MUCH tea from all my subscription services, and although I don’t mind that so much, this one I KNOW I will not be trying. It’s caffeine-free, so then there’s no point in me drinking it. Also, the flavor. Lemon and ginger. Two things I barely like alone, so putting them together makes me cringe. Oh well, I’m sure someone I know will want to give it a try :] Check out the tea here.

8 • Herbamare Original Seasoning
{8.8 oz/ $8.00}
This is a natural fine sea salt infused with organic fresh herbs and veggies. What’s not to love!? Seasonings are amazing and make your food even more delicious, so naturally I love them and probably over-use them, but I like it so that’s okay. haha. I’m excited to try this one out, I’m sure it’ll be fabulous! Probably would have been nicer with a bigger sample size, but oh well! :] Check out the product here.

9 • Ecover Natural Automatic Dishwasher Tablets
{$6.00/ 25 tablets}
I don’t have, nor have I ever used a dishwasher, therefore these tablets will see no use from me. I will just be giving these bad boys away. Check out the product here.

10 • Fridg Tech DSP-30 Filter
At first, I had no idea what this item was. Now that I know that it’s a filter to place in the fridge that will help keep my fruits & veggies fresher longer, I love it! And it lasts for 90 days!!!!! How amazing! It also saves on energy costs and eliminates bad odors in the fridge. LOVE IT. The filter can also be cut in half to use in 2 different drawers! This is certainly an item I would never normally buy on my own in a store, but something I appreciate and will put to good use after being introduced to it! Check out the product and all it’s amazing wonders here.

I don’t want to count this as an item, but I’m not sure why we got it since I never got a sample of this brand/product, but they sent an envelope with all this stuff inside the box… not sure why since I didn’t get a chance to try the product they are advertising!

May’s box also came with a coupon for the Dream Water, along with 2 business cards for companies who will give discounts to Conscious Box subscribers. I wish I could have gotten a sample of the Mac-N-Mo’s treats though!

All in all, May was an excellent box full of goodies I am loving right now!

Thanks Conscious Box, for being so awesome! :]

all love & smiles :]

The Goodies Co. April 2013 Review

Although this April box came on the VERY LAST DAY of the month, it was well worth the wait! Almost all 6 of the goodies inside were devoured quite quickly and everything was delicious and fun! This was well worth the $7 this month to me! Especially because I loved everything inside.

The Goodies Co. is a monthly food subscription service that only costs $7/month! This has only been my second box, but I have loved everything so far! This month might have had a “theme”, but I’m not sure because there was no information in the box about the products. That little card that was resting on top of the tissue paper said for the product listing and descriptions to go online to your account… but when I did, all I got was this — >

Rude. It seems THEY were a bit wrong because I obviously had the nice huge box right in front of me! Oh well, I really didn’t need much explanation for this month’s items… I just opened them up and tasted away!!! So now let’s get onto the goodies!!!!!

Item #1 • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar – Abbott Nutrition
{$7.99 /6 bars}
This bar was SOOOOO FREAKIN GOOD. I thought that it would be kinda nasty because it’s more of a health bar and I didn’t believe that could actually replicate that amazing raw cookie dough taste…. but they did! It’s sooooo delicious and I can’t wait to buy myself a box of these most delicious treats! Check out the amazingness here.

Item #2 • Sweet & Salty Kettlecorn – Angie’s Popcorn
{$7.14 /6 pack}
Sooo I was just opening all the different products to try them and then lock them back up in a ziplock bag for future snacking, but I couldn’t put these babies down! They were so addicting and light and sweet and salty and delicious! Perfect popcorn!!! :] Check them out here.

Item #3 • White Chocolate Amaretto Cookies – Lady Walton’s Cookies
{$4.99/ box of 6 cookies}
I LOVE white chocolate so I was SO EXCITED to finally get something white chocolate related (instead of the usual dark chocolate stuff I seem to always get!). This cookie was super delicious and light and filling at the same time. Just a magical, amazing cookie. Love it! Check them out here.

Item #4 • White Cheddar Cheese Sauce Mix – Riega Foods
{$4.47/ 3 pack}
I was SO PUMPED to see this in my box! I LOVEEEE me some mac & cheese and always have tons of extra pasta laying around just ready to be boiled and smothered in delicious cheeses!! Nom nom nom! I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m sure I’ll love it. I pretty much love any mac & cheese I try (besides my fateful experience with blue cheese & mac… gross). I am happy to get a whole meal out of a product from this box, how awesome! CHEESE! Check out the product here.

Item #5 • Sweet Potato Multigran Chips – Green Giant
{$5.98/ 2 pack}
These chips we’re exactly my FAVORITE, but they were super good! I would have liked a little more seasoning in there, but the salt was good and the chip itself was delicious, especially for a more “healthy” chip! Also love that they are sweet potatoes and the packaging. Check them out here.

Item #6 • Lime Chili Chips – Wai Lana
{$5.98/ 2 pack}
I was so happy to get 3 different kinds of chip/popcorn snacks in this bag! I LOVE snack foods, they are so yummy! Anyway, these “chips” were fabulous! They tasted kinda like the Mexican chips you can buy on the corners in random Mexican neighborhoods around Chicago! Me and the bf actually just went out on a hunt to find some this week for chips and corn and cucumbers… mmmmm. These chips are super good though and I love how it’s more of a pork rind chip rather than a potato chip. Very different! Check them out here.

Alright, so I clearly LOVED this month’s box of Goodies! Everything was delicious and fun and unique. However, when I was just looking through my Goodies profile to get the proper listing of the items, it shows that there was a 7th product in the box… a $50 wine giftcard for NakedWines.com! I never received this, so maybe it was just for some special people…. I wish I got it though, would have made this box even that much better!

all love & smiles :]

Julep Boho Glam Starter Box Review

As I mentioned in a post before, I had a coupon code to use for the Julep monthly nail polish subscription service, making this $19.99 priced box only cost $0.01!!!! I was sooo excited, and it also arrived on my doorstep super quick, which is always a plus!

Here’s what I got in my Boho Glam Starter Box!!! (basically FOR FREE!!)

Julep Instant Warming Foot Scrub. I walk around all the time barefoot, inside AND outside, so sometimes I have a problem with rough, dry skin on the bottoms of my feet. This is a perfect product for me!!!! :] It’s also a pretty nice sized tube of product!

They also threw in this little Hand Scrub sample, it’s nice, but kind of stinks because it’s so tiny and if I like it I won’t have any more. haha

I LOVE the polish colors that I received in my box! Robin is a super pretty turquoise/blue, SO ME, and Stefani is a nice sparkly dark grey! Super cute!

Since this box was FREE to me, it makes it all that much better. I’m not going to continue on with my subscription, I just wanted to get a nice initial free box, but from other reviews I’ve read on the service, other girls seem to love it!! The coupon code I used was: JULEPVIP.

all love & smiles :]
